If you are not familiar with Simon Sinek, here's your chance. Considered one of the most popular Ted talks with over 20 million views, Simon Sinek delved into why certain people, organizations and companies make an impact while others do not. All his research boiled down into one word Why? After looking into the patterns of how impactful leaders act, Sinek devised the 'Golden Circle', which starts with asking people Why? they do what they do, instead of traditionally starting with the what and how. Simon Sinek has patented his method for inspiring people to find their life's calling through books and courses on his website called 'Start with why?'

The Golden Circle.
The Golden Circle (Why? How? What?) shows how some people are able to inspire action instead of manipulating people to act. I learnt of this theory during my time in design and marketing and was enthralled by it. Here is his explanation and how it starts from the inside out.

WHAT?
Every single person, company and organisation on the planet knows WHAT they do. This is true no matter how big or small, no matter what industry. Everyone is easily able to describe the products or services a company sells or the job function they have within the system. WHAT's are easy to identify.

HOW?
Some companies and people know HOW they do WHAT they do. Whether you call them a 'differentiating value proposition' or 'unique selling proposition', HOW's are often given to explain how something is different or better. Not as obvious as WHAT's, and many think these are the differentiating or motivating factors in a decision.

WHY?
Very few people or companies can clearly articulate WHY they do WHAT they do. This isn't about making money that's a result. WHY is all about your purpose, cause or belief. WHY does your company exist? WHY do you get out of bed in the morning? And WHY should anyone care? When most people or organisations think, act or communicate they do so from the outside in, from WHAT to WHY. And for good reason as they go from - the tangible to the intangible.
We will say WHAT we do, we may say HOW we do it, but we rarely say WHY we do WHAT we do, so...

Why, do I do what I do?
I like to help people.
Whether it be... To boost confidence or reduce stress and anxiety. To lose weight, get fitter or stronger. To recover, mobilise or energise.
How, do I do it ?
With understanding, enthusiasm and care.
I provide support, based on knowledge, experience and encouragement. I practice what I preach, I am firm but fair, setting achievable goals.
What, do I do?
Tailored, specific programs one-to-one/two or small group exercise.
I have created my own gym and studio to evoke calm and ensure privacy. A place where clients can feel comfortable and at ease regardless of their circumstances.
